Master planning and urban design are initial steps in creating attractive, successful places. The process involves the integration of physical, social and economic development strategies within a spatial framework.
Urban design draws together the many strands of placemaking, a principle which is central to all our projects. We look to create developments with character and a sense of place, which by their nature are desirable places to live and work and which create social value.
We design environments which strengthen local identity and increase people’s sense of belonging.
We are highly experienced working with partners and local stakeholders to create a shared vision and successful project outcomes.
Master planning and urban design experience includes urban regeneration settlements, Universities, industrial developments, and warehouse distribution parks. Projects have been undertaken across the United Kingdom and abroad.
Experience includes master planning the first NZC student residential scheme, 3000 study bedrooms for Hertfordshire University and one of the first housing for sale schemes in Moscow, based on a ‘village’ typology.
